I will focus on the relationship between Frankfurt School critical theory and feminist theory and outline the specific characteristics of feminist critical theory. These include the critique of ideology, the critique of the subject and of reason, the importance of a universal frame of reference, and the question of how to formulate political judgements across cultural boundaries.
